How Far We Have Come!

The magnitude of how far women have come in workplaces hits you sometimes.

I was sitting in a room with three other women reviewing a document. We stumbled upon a notable personality in society who recently commented that women should be confined to their houses.

We heard his whole speech. By the end of it, no one was furious. We had small laughs. “Well, he wouldn’t have imagined a room full of women laughing in his face. Imbecile”.

We moved on.

That right there gave me goosebumps. All four women unanimously uttered single-word replies and carried on with the usual business.

How far we have come!

What happened to that man was a different story.
