A Hidden Beach

Dark night, Stars so bright.
Middle of the road midnight.
Just within a hundred feet reach,
Was the beautiful Chennai beach.

Tempted to run onto the sand,
But on nights it is a restricted land.
Looked up to God praying for luck,
The angel beside gave a smirk.
Stretched out a mystical hand,
promising a magical land.

The whole community fast asleep,
Walked into narrow roads deep and deep.
Slowly, ears could hear the waves crashing,
with heart’s excitement enhancing.
The fishing nets and boats opened a way,
leading to take the breath away.
What eyes saw numbed the speech,
There lies a hidden beach!

Sat on the sand enchanted,
Counting the stars captivated.
Serene eyes feeling the breeze,
Roaring wind making a tease.
Salty smell touched the soul,
Ah, isn’t this bliss as a whole!
