Now if we can take focus off the static electricity that loves my hair a bit too much, here’s a bunch of beautiful take aways from today’s “Own it Penn” Women EmPOWERment Conference 🖤

>> There is not one big decision from early 20s that’ll decide your career forever. It can always be altered and we should stress out less.

>> It’s okay to not know where exactly you will be 5 or 10 years down the line because no one might have already done what you are doing now.

>> When we decide to leave something stable and big to take a leap of faith and try something new, we always gotta have a safety net and back up.

>> Without any judgement or goals, just tracking our finances in itself is a lot powerful.

>> Mental Health Issues are Universal irrespective of one’s Socio-Economic status.

>> Society sometimes expects us to perform at ridiculous levels not accounting for the background we come from. We have to pay no heed.

>> Even if we have all the skills and qualifications to take up a role, self doubt and fear pulls us back. We gotta be fearless.

>> Always ASK for what you want. You don’t get anything if you don’t ask. People are not mind readers.

>> Taking Risks is being comfortably uncomfortable. Everything is “figure-outable”

>> Failure is Omnipresent. If we are not failing, we are not trying enough. Having more self compassion and not beating ourselves up when we fail.

>> Always take younger folks under your wing and support them. At the end of the day, only we together hold each other up.

>> We all have the ability within us to harness power. It’s all about surrounding ourselves with the right people.
